Keshav Desiraju

A former Secretary to the Government of India, he has served several years in the health sector in the Union Government and the Government of Uttarakhand. He continues to be engaged in the work of the health sector non-profit organisations. He is a visionary in the field of mental health in our country, and his contribution in getting mental illness included in non-communicable diseases in UNCRPD, the Mental Health Policy 2014 and the Mental Health Care Act 2017 are invaluable.

Nancy Beck

Nancy Beck has a unique blend of public, not for profit, and private sector experience in mental health Recovery that spans 30 years. Through strategic and authentic leadership she has guided the development of many successful community mental health initiatives in Canada and internationally.

Nancy’s international career focuses on advocacy, training, and mental health recovery. Her greatest strength is her ability to collaborate with stakeholders to integrate mental health best practices while respecting local culture. The result is the development of culturally relevant and locally-owned mental health supports.

Nancy is often referred to as a social entrepreneur, who has successfully used social entrepreneurship as a way of working with entrenched social issues to create social change and lift people living with mental illness out of poverty. Nancy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Arts, a Bachelor’s in Education and a Master’s in Social Work.
